Kron Press Releases

AmBell Corporation Changes Name To Kron Communications

Kron Communications’ name change reflects the company's commitment to move to the forefront of the Communications Automation industry, offering a comprehensive and integrated communications solution for medium to large organizations.

SANTA MONICA, CA. August 30, 2001

AmBell Corporation, a leading developer of Communications Automation (CA) software for medium to large organizations, has changed its name to Kron Communications. The name change represents a significantly broader corporate strategy, which is to provide Integrated Management of Organization, Relationships and Communications (IMORC) through its flagship product, the Kron Connected Action Networks (CAN).

The Kron name was selected to evoke strength and technology, firmly representing the company’s dedication to innovate, simplify and integrate communications for the organization. Kron’s corporate focus addresses the need for solutions that automate and integrate communication services to combat the continuous escalating communication costs and bring organizations closer to their customers. Telecommunications Industry Association Market Review 2000 projects enterprise spending on communications integration to grow from $30 billion to $60 billion in the next four years.

Kron's patent-pending CAN infrastructure solution reduces the total cost of communications by providing integrated infrastructure software that ensures enterprise responsiveness over heterogeneous communications solutions via the following functionality:

  1. Integrated administration of existing disparate, multi-vendor communications services such as PBX and e-mail via connectors
  2. Painless incorporation of emerging technologies like voice-over-IP, video conferencing, and chat into the communications infrastructure
  3. Adds efficiency to business processes by tying enterprise applications with communications using HTTP and XML
  4. Customized, role-based directory and control of communications methods and activities by end-users

The Kron CAN integrates business processes with voice, text and video communication, providing customers and partners a single point of contact for the entire enterprise. Using the Connected Action Networks, users can reach the right person on the right device at the right time. Kron CAN delivers this functionality via an integrated, organized and managed infrastructure.

The Kron infrastructure provides "connectors" for existing communication point solutions (PBXs, email servers, etc) so they can be plugged in and deployed immediately. As new communications solutions come to market, these too will be integrated into the CAN platform, thus enabling the enterprise to capitalize on the latest technology without the cost of managing new equipment and acquiring new expertise.

“Having such an integrated infrastructure in place inevitably drives sales opportunities, multiplies revenues and enhances enterprise responsiveness to customers, partners and suppliers”, said Unni Warrier, President and CEO, Kron Communications.“Kron is committed to delivering simple to use, enterprise level, Web and telephony-based communication solutions to help organizations save money, be more productive and stay ahead of the competition”.

Kron uses its own products and services internally in order to provide a role model for its customers and be able to quickly identify new features that the company wants to incorporate to help better serve its customers.
